Classes and Workshops

Weekly classes are held in Pointe-Claire, Quebec. Each session of classes is ten weeks long; each class is three hours weekly. The classes are held in the autumn and the winter.

There are four different classes with four different focuses. COMPOSITION AND TECHNIQUE is a course for painters with experience. The visual and organizational components of design are our guideline for our paintings. Mixing and matching components from the two guidelines creates new approaches to old subjects. By exploring techniques, we find other ways of expressing our compositional ideas.

The OPEN STUDIO course is for painters who are experienced and can work independently. This class starts with a group critique and discussion. The goal is to be able to evaluate your own work and to be able to appreciate the work of others without being judgmental.

The LEVEL I class is for novice painters. Color mixing from a basic set of colors, watercolor techniques, and composition are the content of this course. My goal is for you to be comfortable with the medium and to learn to love the process of creating a work of art.

The COLOR class is for painters with experience. Color approaches and limited palettes are the focus of the classes in tandem with the organizational components of design. Technique will be important in this group also.
