the question: What do YOU see?

When painting from a still life, I am looking for a personal vision. How do
YOU see this subject? Are there parts that are more important to YOU?
When painting at a site with a group of artists, how do YOU see the scene?
Will YOU move to see it from another angle? Do YOU see the whole scene or
do YOU see a small piece of it?

Editing is an excellent way to focus an area of the work. What do YOU see
as the focal area? What will YOU choose to put in your painting?
