Tip of the Month - June 2003
|
The soft greens of spring are at their peak, but not for long. Within a month's time, the fully saturated, heavy-bodied greens of summer will be here.
|
When creating greens, I work with a variety of yellows and blues.

I also work with ready-made warm (yellow) greens and cool (blue) greens.

These greens have an artificial appearance. I alter them with cool yellow
or warm yellow or cool blue or warm blue or warm red or cool red.

Take a warm green and mix it with each of the colors on your palette.
Now replace the warm green with a cool green and do the same exercise.
