Winter Poetry




This scene is drawn from memories of many places that I have seen. I painted it while I was in Florida enjoying the warm weather. It was painted in a tetrad of yellow/orange, hooker's green, magenta, and ultramarine blue. This is one of my favorite tetrads. THE QUIET HOUR was painted with the same colors, but it has a warm dominance. Winter certainly is poetic.
