Where Alligators Play

Myakka State Park is an exotic place for me. Snakes, wild pigs, birds of every description, and alligators swimming lazily in the rivers and abandonned canals. The year that I painted this scene Myakka had been flooded out. When I went to the park, there was water everywhere. There were canoes for rent and alligators floating on the water's surface. There was no other title but 'Where Alligators Play'.
