Westward

This watercolor was created for an exhibition that will celebrate the
voyages of Chaplain that took place 400 years ago.
I used a warm and a cool of each primary color to paint this work.
The dominantly cool color creates a calm for the night's rest.
Looking across
the lake or the St. Lawrence River in the evening is when you will see
the
overlapping layers of cumulous clouds. They are often backlit from the
setting sun which creates a wonderful glow in the sky and on the land.
Dimensions: 16 x 20
