Upstream


For this painting, I returned to a favorite painting site. CRAIG'S PLACE and THE PAUZE THAT REFRESHES were painted there. This time, I turned and looked upstream. The trees formed a canopy over the stream and the light was strong upstream. Light filtered through the trees and was reflected in the stream. It was a cool light. The forest was humid and filled with warm darks.
