The Unknown

When working with non-objective imagery, I am stepping into the unknown. This image was created with orange, black, and gold liquid acrylic. The more I look at the image, the more reality I see. I continue to see the rock formations from the American southwest; I see architectural forms, also.

The unknown is behind the darks; the unknown can be found in the light; the unknown is in the translucent shapes. Light that comes from behind a dark is a continuing theme for me in both abstraction and realism.

Dimensions: 22 x 10

Medium: acrylic on paper
