The Star Gazers

I brought these lilies to class last week as a challenge for everyone. More often than not, I bring silk flowers to class, but this time I could not resist buying these from the florist. I find it positively amazing to have such wonderful flowers when winter is approaching. I painted this watercolor on hot press paper with Permanent Rose as my red and the remainder of the colors from the cool side of the color wheel. When asked "Why hot press paper?" I replied "that is what I pulled from my paper supplies."

Dimensions: 20 x 26

Medium: watercolor
