The Silent Night




The sugar shack can be found in areas of maple tree woodland in Quebec. In the winter it is quiet. This maple sugar shack is on the Schweizer property in Sutton,Quebec. In the spring, smoke will be lifting skyward from the chimney and maple sap will be boiling inside in large pans. From the top of the mountain where this shack is located, the lights of Montreal are visible on a clear night. On a still winter night, it is quiet enough to hear snowflakes falling. The night has an absolute silence.
