The Light Beyond




This scene is a memory from Haliburton, Ontario. When I stood amidst the birch trees, I could see the light bouncing off the lake and then bouncing off the surfaces in the woodland. I changed the time of day to allow for a red and green combination in the foliage. Liquid acrylics give an intense color on the paper. I completed the work with heavy body acrylics for the areas of opaque light.
