The Beaver Pond




When we stay in the chalet by this pond, we watch the activity of the beaver couple every evening. The chalet is on the water's edge and there is a deck where we can sit and watch the beavers taking their evening swim. We watch them glide over the water's surface and then they slip under the water to reappear on the other side of the pond. Sometimes, they are carrying branches to add to their dam. There is also a resident duck who comes scurrying for a snack every time he sees us on the deck.
