Sun Worshipper

This watercolor takes me back to last summer. While I was at Mount Sutton, I decided to go and sit in the Schweizer's large vegetable garden. They had planted a few giant sunflowers. The quiet was interrupted by the buzzing of the bees and the songs of the birds. I was feeling the warmth of the sun on my back as I first made a sketch and then drew this flower onto my watercolor paper. Each day there were changes to the flowers as they sat worshipping the sun.
