Spirit Dance

When I paint on Yupo, the brush marks are freer. While the paint is wet, I may push it around with my fingers or make fingerprint marks. I use a limited palette. Sometimes the reaction of the colors creates unforeseen shapes. In this work, I applied thicker paint into still wet thin paint. The paint seemed to create these moving shapes by itself. After looking at it for a few minutes, I saw a dance movement made by the thicker red shapes. They did not appear to be solid, but rather like wisps of colored smoke.
