Season of Mists

This work has two sources of inspiration. The first is the Mersey River in
Nova Scotia and the second is the poem TO AUTUMN by John Keats. The Mersey
River has many moods and I shall be looking at and painting some of them
during the coming months. At this bend in the river, I am standing on the
rocks in the river looking up stream. The mood is peaceful with a humid
atmosphere. This watercolor was painted in the tetrad that can be found in
the November tip page. As can be seen, there is a possibility of many
colors and a variety of values.
