Posies, Pears and Pots

At my recent workshops in Sutton, Quebec, I arranged a still life in the
studio on a rainy day. That gave me the idea for this work. I started with
the large copper container and added items in the same color family. My
goal was to have the yellow-orange move throughout the composition. Layers
of rich color were applied. Glazes of Quinacridone Gold were applied to
unify the strong color. The colors in this piece were challengeing to work
with.
