Orchid Glow


I saw this orchid in an orchid show last January. It lit up the surrounding foliage. Orchids are like that. They can be a marvelous pop of light in the surrounding dark of the foliage. The red petal appeared to be velvet and the cream colored petals had an inner glow. When I was considering my color selection, I turned to a painting of an autumn scene named OCTOBER that had the same quality of light. This work was painted on 300lb. rough paper.
