Memory in Tangerine




I am about to travel south and I will see many varieties of orchids. These orchids are special because I found them here in Montreal at the Montreal Botanical Gardens during the winter months. The warm yellow/orange made me think of tangerines which I will see growing on trees when I am in the south. Orchids are wonderful as a form to be painted. Perhaps, this is why I paint them in large format almost exclusively.
