Maine Woodland

Each year in October, I return to Maine for a short visit. The Rachel Carson Conservation area is a must see during that time. There is a meandering pathway through the woods. Small critters scurrying over branches and twigs and leaves rustling in the soft breeze are the music of this forest. I walk and I watch for those subtle changes that one sees in such a place. In this watercolor, you see only one of those small corners of this quiet place by the sea.
