Luminous Morning




We visit this site to sketch during the summer workshops. It usually during the morning period. Some views on this mountain stream are in full shade and some are in full sunshine. For this view, I was standing on a large boulder in the middle of the stream looking toward the morning light. I can almost hear the sound of the water as it moves downstream. This watercolor was painted in a four color palette with a small addition of white.
