Late Afternoon

It was four o'clock in the afternoon on an October day when I passed this scene. I feel that the combination of the time of day and the season is what made me stop and wonder at this view. I stood and stared at the light that was playing across the marshland and asked myself how I was ever going to express my emotional reaction to what I was seeing.
