January's Hibiscus


Just after this painting goes online, I will be in Florida for a while. I see dinner plate size hibiscus in the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens during my stay. I am always amazed at the color combinations and the size of the blooms. This painting is the demonstration for my JANUARY TIP PAGE. You will see that it has been created with transparent acrylic washes as well as heavier applications of paint.
