Enigma in Red




This is another work in my series of abstract explorations. I applied a continuing line with mat medium, stretching out in various directions. The first colors put onto the hot pressed paper were in the yellow family. I reacted to these yellow marks with the red family. Like much of my work, the shapes became organic. Dark blue and purple were placed to allow visual depth. Knowing when to stop is a challenge, usually it is when it feels balanced and I think that there is a lot more that I could do.
