Copper Gold & Lace

A friend brought the tall container to my flower workshop at Mount Sutton in July. It is a beautiful form and I could visualize it in a still life with gold colored objects. The field outside my chalet was full of Queen Anne's Lace. I thought of my favorite fruit form. I arranged all the elements in front of a sun-filled window and it was ready to paint. The light in July is very strong and this was what I was trying to capture.
