Blue and Lavender


Now that the weather is becoming cooler and I can sense the coming autumn in the air, I look at this image as a memory of summer. This particular iris appears in our garden at the end of June. It is very heavy with the five flowers on each stem. It is such a marvel of nature and it is here for such a short time. I can only wait for the blue and lavender petals to reappear next summer.
