Autumnlight II


This work was done in a similar technique to my landscapes containing wooded areas. The colors are similar to my watercolor choices. The difference lies in the ground for the painting. I do not like the texture of prepared canvas. As I prefer to work transparently, the texture of the canvas had to change. I used a roller that is used for house painting to apply several coats of gesso. The resulting surface showed no evidence of the weave of the cnavas.
