And Still It Stands

This birch is an individual amongst a varied population of trees. I have seen it standing in the warm glow of a setting sun. I have seen it searching out the cool morning light. I have seen it drooping in a torrential downpour. I have seen it in shades of gold in the autumn. I have seen it resisting the wind and cold of a winter blizzard and then, I have seen it dressed in a gentle spring green. And still, it stands.
