Always Alight

This iris appears in two areas in the garden. Each spot has the iris placed against a dark background. The iris is always alight in the garden. When the sun strikes the head of the flower, it sparkles. In this painting, the white in the flower's head is the white of the paper. I did not use masking fluid and I used the colors that I used in the background in very delicate applications for the shading.

Dimensions: 16 x 20
