A Breath of Spring




Our Star Magnolia tree is in bloom. The magnolia flowers are the first to appear in our garden every year. This still life was inspired by that fact. I chose three of my favorite pots and arranged them on a gold colored cloth with one spotlight shining on the arrangement. The flowers are from my imagination. The whites were created by using tints of the various colors and tones that are found in the pots and background. White highlights were added at the end. This work is an acrylic on canvas.
